[About]

A Chicago (suburb) native, Marco Nieto currently resides in Los Angeles where he is a Designer at Foster + Partners. During his graduate studies for his M.Arch, his project “Autopsia in Abstentia: The Continued Collapse of Chernobyl” was awarded the 2020 Burton L. Kampner Memorial Award for most outstanding thesis. This work has increased his interest in the navigation between human habitation and evolutionary systems, identity-driven and reflected spaces, climate collapse, post-humanism, and ways that we can shift the focus of design from humans to other environmental or augmented actors.
